I haven’t dyed my hair in almost 3 or 4 years. Before that, I was constantly dying it, going from black to brown to red and every shade in between. Finally I got tired of the constant upkeep and not to mention, I was ruining my hair. Now, I am going back to school and I have decided to dye my hair lighter. 4 years ago, I decided to dye it jet black so I wouldn’t have to deal with it anymore. A few weeks later I changed my mind and wanted it light again but when I dyed it, only the top half of my head was brown, the ponytail was jet black! I have been told once you go black, it’s really hard to lighten up but it’s been so long since I dyed it, do you think it will happen again? I am pretty sure the dyed part of my hair has grown out since I have cut it several times in the past few years. What do you guys think? I figure I do it today, just in case, but do you think the color will take? Also, should I dye my eyebrows too?
I am so nervous and I know I should go to a professional but let’s keep it real, lol, I am starting school Friday and I really can’t afford to pay $100 to $200 when I am paying $500 for books.
First off, I am 29 and my hair is healthy because I haven’t dyed it in years. And the reason I have decided to dye it is cause Im full of grays, lol and since I am starting school and will be surrounded by 18 yr olds, I didn’t want to show my age, lol
since i was 7 years old, i’ve been pulling out my eyelashes and i am now 15. i try really hard not to do it as often, because i have naturally blond eyebrows from being a redhead, so it wasn’t as noticeable. but now i wear mascara and it’s much more visible now. it’s totally embarrassing and the fact that i wear mascara doesn’t help because i’m always tugging on the clumps and a whole patch comes out. i have to make myself to stop when i’m missing a patch, so it doesn’t get worse. they always grow back, though. but i’m just wondering if there’s a way i can get them to grow back faster or hide the missing spots of eyelashes until they grow back.
I have always been against plucking or waxing because naturally my eyebrows are thin & out of shape. For the first time last Christmas I went 2 thread them because I was unhappy with the shape & was left disappointed when I left d salon cos she over-threaded them,.., literally I did not have much left.
Waited for 10 months for them to grow & this time I decided to tint them in another salon, i insisted on no waxing nor plucking but the lady said to make it neat, she did have to pluck to give it shape & wax above the brown 2 make it neat.
I am worried waxing above the browns would have an adverse effect,.., I mean does this mean the hair above d browns would grow. Pls help me,.., am so disappointed & worried; as this is my second attempt it’s very discouraging to have my eyebrows done again
